A new political party has been established in the UK, aiming to bring decentralized direct democracy based on blockchain
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the UK has today established a political party called "The Other Party," aimed at bringing decentralized, blockchain-based direct democracy to the UK. Its initiatives include a "governance passport," allowing citizens to actively participate in law-making and policy decisions. This passport is issued as a non-fungible token (NFT) to UK voters to ensure the immutability, traceability of votes, and to prevent manipulation or undue influence.
The founder of The Other Party, Dom Ryder, stated, "Our mission is to eliminate the centralization of power by politicians and return power to the people. By leveraging blockchain technology, we ensure that every voice is heard, every vote counts, and every decision is transparent and clean."
