Kazakhstan's financial regulatory agency shut down 980 illegal cryptocurrency exchanges in 2023

ChainCatcher news, the Financial Market Authority (FMA) of Kazakhstan announced that in 2023, it has shut down 980 unregistered cryptocurrency exchanges providing services to the country's citizens. It has also launched 9 investigations into "illegal trading activities" and money laundering.
