BlackRock and Nasdaq meet with the SEC regarding Bitcoin ETF applications
ChainCatcher news, BlackRock and Nasdaq met with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) trading and markets division on Tuesday to discuss the asset management company's application for a spot Bitcoin ETF. The meeting included BlackRock's head of digital assets Robert Mitchnick and members of the asset management company's ETF team. Nasdaq's Vice President and Chief Regulatory Officer Joseph Cusick, Head of U.S. Equities and Trading Products Giang Bui, and Head of ETP Listings Alison Doyle also attended the meeting. This meeting is part of a series of meetings between BlackRock and the SEC regarding the Bitcoin ETF application. Analysts believe that at least one spot Bitcoin ETF will receive SEC approval in 2024.
