ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart on his social media, Fidelity has submitted its securities registration application for a spot Bitcoin ETF to the SEC.

He explained that this is just a securities registration that needs to be completed before the ETF launches; it does not mean that the ETF has been approved or anything else. To be listed, the ETF still requires 19b-4 approval and needs a valid/approved/completed S-1 filing. The 19b-4 has not been completed yet, and the S-1 is still in the preliminary stage, with progress expected next week.
