The Bank of Spain has partnered with Cecabank, Abanca, and Adhara Blockchain to pilot the CBDC

ChainCatcher news, the Bank of Spain (BDE) announced a partnership with Cecabank, Abanca, and Adhara Blockchain for testing central bank digital currency (CDBC).

It is reported that the pilot will take place over the next six months, simulating the processing and settlement of interbank payments using a single tokenized wholesale CBDC and by exchanging multiple wholesale CBDCs issued by different central banks. The Bank of Spain selected these 3 companies from 24 applications received last year.
