BlackRock submits its spot Bitcoin ETF securities registration application to the U.S. SEC

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, BlackRock has submitted its Form 8-A for its iShares Bitcoin Trust to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for its spot Bitcoin ETF.

It is reported that Form 8-A is a securities registration that allows issuers to register for trading on a platform, which needs to be completed before the ETF launch. It does not mean that the ETF has been approved, but it marks progress toward the potential approval of a spot Bitcoin ETF.
