Coinbase partners with stablecoin exchange Yellow Card to expand its business in Africa

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, Coinbase has partnered with the local African stablecoin trading platform Yellow Card to expand its services in Africa as part of a compliance-focused global development plan.

Starting in February, this partnership will enable more than half of Africa's population to purchase USDC through the Coinbase wallet app. The app will also allow users to send stablecoins for free via email and messaging apps such as WhatsApp, iMessage, and Telegram. Yellow Card users will also be able to purchase USDC on the Base network.
