ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, U.S. District Judge Katherine Polk Failla of the Southern District of New York will decide in the coming weeks whether to dismiss the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) allegations against Coinbase for illegal activities. Previously, the SEC sued Coinbase in June 2023, accusing it of operating as an unregistered broker, exchange, and clearing agency, and claiming that 13 cryptocurrencies on Coinbase are securities, while Coinbase is seeking to dismiss the SEC's lawsuit.
