Arbitrum launches expansion plan to support the creation of custom chains
ChainCatcher news, Arbitrum announced the launch of the Arbitrum Orbit expansion program, allowing the launch of Ethereum-based custom Orbit chains (L2 or L3) through a self-service path. Arbitrum stated that under the permissionless profit-sharing model of this program, Orbit chains are entitled to create custom L2 or L3 that settle directly to Ethereum or other Ethereum L2s, such as optimistic rollups, ZK-Rollups, optimiums, and validiums.
In addition, the two main requirements for participating in the Arbitrum expansion program are that participants need to give back a portion of their profits to the Arbitrum ecosystem, and the deployed Rollup must exclusively rely on Ethereum or chains secured by Ethereum.
