Foreign media: Binance plans to file a motion to dismiss the lawsuit from the U.S. SEC

ChainCatcher news, according to BeInCrypto, Binance is set to face off against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in a Washington court, with a hearing scheduled for January 19 focusing on Binance's motion to dismiss the lawsuit filed by the SEC in June 2023.

Reportedly, the SEC's lawsuit includes a series of allegations, including accusations that Binance artificially inflated trading volumes, misappropriated customer funds, failed to restrict U.S. customers from using its platform, and misled investors regarding market surveillance.
