Andrew Kang: In the last cycle, achieved eight-digit profits on many projects

ChainCatcher news, Andrew Kang, co-founder and partner of the crypto venture capital firm Mechanism Capital, stated, "In 2018, I had a portfolio worth $50,000, and by mid-2021, I had grown that portfolio to a level comparable to many well-known cryptocurrency funds in the field, without taking any external funding.

The only way to achieve this was to seek out S-tier teams with exceptional product potential in the early stages, accumulate a majority ownership of the projects (mainly through the open market), and support them vigorously until they became over 100 times, approximately 1000 times liquid investments.

Support was provided through token incentives/issuance design, marketing/community development strategies, DeFi integrations/partnerships, exchange connections, product design, introducing other signals/value-added funds/investors/users/developers, and becoming a senior user of the protocol.

I have worked alongside many such projects, which grew from a market cap of less than $50 million to over $2 billion, with some even exceeding $5 billion, including Thorchain, Pancakeswap, Frax Finance, etc. Many followers from the last cycle joined me in achieving 8-digit profits on many of these projects.

When you are truly confident in the potential scale of entrepreneurship, you become price insensitive, and even after a 5-10x price revaluation, you are willing to continue accumulating more. Of course, when the market gets overheated, you will eventually sell, but we are far from that point. In this bull market, run the same strategy again."
