ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, U.S. Judge Richard Jones today approved Binance's plea agreement to pay a $4.3 billion fine. Binance's Deputy General Counsel Josh Eaton stated that Binance "takes full responsibility for the mistakes made in the past, while we are also proud of the improvements in compliance over the past few years."

As part of the agreement, Binance's compliance must be monitored by an independent company for up to five years. Meanwhile, the sentencing of Binance founder Changpeng Zhao has been postponed to April, where he is expected to receive no more than 18 months in prison.
