ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has appointed two cryptocurrency tax experts from the private sector to help lead the IRS in establishing services, reporting, compliance, and enforcement programs focused on digital assets.
The official tax filing season in the United States began on January 29, after which the IRS has issued multiple notices urging citizens to report income from their holdings of cryptocurrencies and digital assets, including non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
