The National Payments Corporation of India collaborates with the Indian Institute of Science to conduct in-depth research on blockchain and artificial intelligence technologies

ChainCatcher news, according to cointrust, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has recently signed a multi-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), marking an important step in technical research.

The collaboration aims to establish the "NPCI-IISc Deep Technology Research and Development Excellence Center," promoting innovation through joint research in the fields of blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI). The partnership will focus on scalable blockchain platforms and multimodal analysis on fintech data. Faculty from five departments of the Indian Institute of Science will collaborate with NPCI researchers to address practical challenges in these areas. Through this collaboration, NPCI and IISc will jointly tackle complex technical and engineering challenges, including scalability, privacy-preserving design, neural networks, graphical AI, and large language models (LLM).
