Bitcoin mining company Bitfarms purchases over 50,000 mining machines to increase its hash rate to 21 EH/s in 2024
ChainCatcher news, Bitcoin mining company Bitfarms purchased 28,000 Bitmain T21 ASIC miners and 19,280 Bitmain T21 miners at a price of $14 per TH on March 11, as well as 3,888 Bitmain S21 miners and 740 Bitmain S21 hydro miners at a price of $17.50 per TH, for a total of 51,908 ASIC miners.
Bitfarms President and CEO Geoff Morphy stated that the ASIC miners are scheduled for delivery this year and are expected to bring the company's total hash rate to 21 EH/s in 2024, which is about 3% of the Bitcoin network's processing power.
