The Arbitrum community has initiated a proposal vote for the "Game Catalyst Program."
ChainCatcher message, the Snapshot voting page shows that the Arbitrum community has opened a snapshot vote for the "Game Catalyst Program (GCP)" proposal, which suggests allocating 200 million ARB to gaming projects within the ecosystem through this program. This vote aims to assess whether the DAO has reached a consensus to begin implementing and funding the creation of the Game Catalyst Program and its fund.
According to the proposal, the Arbitrum Foundation needs to invest time and resources to create the legal entity required to support this initiative. Before defining the committee's tasks, obtaining DAO approval, and electing members, the "Game Working Group" will be considered a temporary custodian to enhance the necessary details of the proposal and submit it to the DAO. ARDC, Plurality Labs, and Questbook will consider the signals from the DAO, prioritizing reasonable requests from the Game Working Group and the ultimately elected council to help establish the GCP until a separate budget for the GCP is approved. The Game Working Group will return to the DAO within 30 days after the proposal passes, providing options for the method and criteria for electing the council, the final staffing plan for the GCP, and a temporary funding request.
