ChainCatcher message, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) today issued a notice reminding the public to be wary of suspicious websites operating under the name "KKR Global," which impersonate a licensed institution and are suspected of engaging in virtual asset-related fraud. The relevant website impersonates the SFC licensed institution KKR Capital Markets Asia Limited and is suspected of engaging in fraud involving virtual assets, claiming that its headquarters is located in Hong Kong.

The SFC has included the relevant website in its list of suspicious asset trading platforms as of March 19, 2024. Although these websites are currently inaccessible, the public should be cautious as fraudsters may continue to establish new websites with similar domain names.

The SFC urges the public to refer to the public register of licensed persons and registered institutions and the list of licensed virtual asset trading platforms to check the latest information on licensed institutions, licensed virtual asset trading platforms, and their official websites.
