ChainCatcher news, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) warns the public to be cautious of multiple entities operating under the name "HKCEXP" that are suspected of engaging in virtual asset-related fraud. Victims have reported difficulties in withdrawing funds and being required to pay high "taxes." HKCEXP provides a false Hong Kong address on its website to mislead investors. The Hong Kong SFC suspects that HKCEXP has falsely claimed to be a "company registered with the SFC," spreading false and misleading information about itself and its business.

It is reported that the Hong Kong Police Force has taken action to block HKCEXP's related websites at the request of the Hong Kong SFC. Although the police have taken action, everyone should be wary of scammers potentially continuing to establish new websites with similar domain names. The Hong Kong SFC has listed "HKCEXP" on its warning list of suspicious virtual asset trading platforms.
