zkSync: Starting from April 1, subsidies for users transferring funds from zkSync to the Ethereum mainnet will be canceled
ChainCatcher news, zkSync official announced that Matter Labs, the developer of zkSync, will cancel the subsidy for users' transaction fees when transferring funds from zkSync to the Ethereum mainnet starting at 7:59 AM Beijing time on April 1. After that, users initiating transactions to withdraw funds from the zkSync cross-chain bridge to the Ethereum mainnet will need additional transactions to claim the funds on Ethereum.
It is reported that over the past year, the official has voluntarily paid the transaction fees for users bridging from zkSync to the Ethereum mainnet to optimize the user transaction experience. However, with the further decentralization of zkSync, the network cannot rely on intermediaries to operate key protocol mechanisms.
