ChainCatcher news, according to a report released by Immunefi, as of now, the cryptocurrency industry has lost $336.3 million in the first quarter due to hacks and scams. DeFi remains the primary target for hackers, accounting for 100% of the vulnerabilities identified by Immunefi in the first quarter, while centralized (CeFi) platforms reported zero vulnerabilities. Most of the losses were caused by just two projects, namely $81.7 million from Orbit Bridge and $62 million from Munchables.

However, the number of attacks decreased from 74 in the first quarter of 2023 to 61 in the first quarter of this year, a month-on-month decrease of 17.6%. Compared to the $437.5 million loss in the same period last year, the $336.3 million loss recorded this year represents a 23.1% decrease.
