ChainCatcher news, venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) announced on Monday that it plans to invest $30 million in several gaming startups.
a16z general partner Andrew Chen stated that the $30 million investment will be made through the a16z Speedrun program over the next 45 days, with each startup joining the Speedrun program receiving $750,000. The application deadline for Speedrun is May 19. The company's gaming fund was launched in 2022, investing in the development of various gaming-related technologies, including Web3.
Additionally, a16z has made several investments in blockchain gaming companies through its crypto division, including Mythical Games and Voldex.
