Due to a code error, Lido's SOL staking protocol has caused users to be unable to withdraw approximately $24 million in stSOL
ChainCatcher news, according to DL News, Lido's SOL staking protocol has made user deposits of 24 million dollars inaccessible due to a code error.
It is reported that Lido announced in October 2023 plans to gradually stop supporting Solana in the coming months and removed the webpage that allowed stSOL holders to exchange their tokens for SOL. When Lido removed that webpage in February, users still held over 112,000 stSOL, worth more than 24 million dollars.
In addition, besides the lack of an easy way to withdraw funds, a new bug was also found in Lido's smart contracts, which prevented stSOL holders from withdrawing their funds. Now, over 31,000 wallets holding stSOL are in a predicament.
Currently, Lido has not responded to requests for comment.
