ChainCatcher news, former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao responded on social media regarding his sentence of 4 months in prison. In his post, Zhao expressed gratitude for the concern and support he has received from everyone, whether through letters, support on the X platform, or other forms, all of which have encouraged him and helped him stay strong. He stated that he will serve his sentence, conclude this phase, and focus on the next chapter of his life (education).

Additionally, Zhao mentioned that he will continue as a passive investor (and holder) in cryptocurrency. He pointed out that our industry has entered a new phase where compliance is very important. Zhao also discussed that the silver lining throughout the process is that Binance has always been under a microscope, and the funds are SAFU (i.e., safe). Finally, he emphasized that protecting users is crucial.
