EigenLayer: An additional 100 EIGEN will be allocated to all users who interacted before April 29

ChainCatcher news, according to official information, the Eigen Foundation has clarified several community issues (lock countdown, timeline, and testnet users) and shared plans for allocating additional EIGEN to the community.

It is reported that all users who interacted with EigenLayer before April 29 will receive an additional 100 EIGEN. This extra airdrop will be reflected in the allocations applied for after May 10. With simple Sybil filtering, all Season 1 users will receive at least 110 EIGEN (10 EIGEN floor plus 100 EIGEN). Season 2 users who started staking between March 15 and April 29 will also receive at least 100 EIGEN. Users who stake after April 29 are not included.

In addition, three clarifications are as follows:

1. Transferable lock countdown starts after: Once EIGEN is transferable to the community, investors and the team will remain in a complete lock state for one year. After that, they will unlock at a rate of 4% per month and will be fully unlocked within three years after being transferable.
2. Timeline: Earlier this week, we announced that EIGEN will unlock after the new features are launched, further achieving decentralization. However, we did not announce the date for enabling transferability. To provide a clear timeline, these features will be released on the mainnet on September 30, 2024. The characteristics of decentralization and permissionlessness allow power to be transferred to the community, which will have the right to vote and decide whether to enable transferability.
3. Testnet user allocation coming soon: Some testnet users are excluded from eligibility for claims. The missed testnet user allocation will be updated as part of Season 1 Phase 2. We will provide more details in the coming weeks.
