MakerDAO will launch two new tokens: NewStable (NST) and NewGovToken (NGT)

ChainCatcher message, MakerDAO announced on platform X that it will launch two new tokens: NewStable and NewGovToken. Following the upcoming brand release, the new tokens will be introduced to the ecosystem.

NewStable (NST) is the token symbol for the upgraded version of Dai, designed for broader adoption and featuring enhanced stability functions.

NewGovToken (NGT) represents a refined governance approach within the ecosystem, aimed at encouraging broader participation and more dynamic decision-making. During the upgrade process, each MKR will be exchanged for 24,000 NewGovTokens, intended to facilitate wider governance participation. The final names of both will be revealed through the brand announcement.
