Previously, on May 5, 2023, the nonprofit organization OpenSats announced that it had received a $10 million donation from Jack Dorsey's charitable initiative, which will be used to support the development of free and open-source software and projects focused on Bitcoin, the decentralized social protocol Nostr, and related technologies.
