The former mayor of Los Angeles has been hired as a policy advisor for Coinbase

ChainCatcher news, according to Blockworks, former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has been hired as a policy advisor for Coinbase. Villaraigosa will join the global advisory council of the cryptocurrency exchange platform.

Coinbase Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad stated that Villaraigosa will provide advice to Coinbase's leadership team to advance "global economic freedom."
