zkSync will launch its next upgrade on May 13, featuring functionalities such as P256Verify and Bridgehub
ChainCatcher news, Matter Labs' Head of Product Delivery Ramon stated that the next upgrade of zkSync will be launched on May 13.
It is reported that the new upgrade includes the following content and features: P256Verify (this precompiled allows for signature verification on the secp256r1 elliptic curve, and also adds ecAdd, ecMul, and ecPairing precompiles); Bridgehub (the foundational component that unlocks interoperability for all ZK Stack chains); in terms of ZK Stack, support for Validium, custom DA layers, and custom base token protocol work has also been completed, and these changes will be available for ZK Stack chains with some upcoming server changes; support for .transfer/.send calls without the need to provide Gas (this can unlock some ETH in contracts that were deployed without following best coding practices).
