Data: Today, $1.2 billion in nominal value of BTC options and $800 million in ETH options are about to expire
ChainCatcher news, Greeks.live researcher Adam released options expiration data on X, with 18,000 BTC options set to expire today, a Put Call Ratio of 0.64, and a maximum pain point of $62,000, with a notional value of $1.2 billion. 280,000 ETH options are set to expire, with a Put Call Ratio of 0.74, a maximum pain point of $3,050, and a notional value of $800 million.
Adam stated that the cryptocurrency market has been relatively weak this week, with trading volume continuing to decline, and the weakness persists. The outflow of BTC ETFs in the U.S. stock market has eased, but from the perspective of block trades and market trading structure, the weak price of coins has led to a continuous decline in market confidence. The implied volatility (IV) for all major maturities continues to decrease, and the current IV level is slightly below the average level, providing some support, with limited room for further decline.
