ChainCatcher news, since 2023, donors from the cryptocurrency industry have contributed $94 million to federal political committees, surpassing the $83 million from the previous election cycle.

According to data from OpenSecrets, several supporters from the cryptocurrency industry are among the largest political donors in the U.S. For example, Jeffrey Yass of Susquehanna International Group has donated $70 million, and Fairshake along with its two affiliated super PACs (Defend American Jobs and Protect Progress) has raised a total of $85 million. Notably, Bloomberg's report adjusted Fairshake's fundraising total by removing in-kind donations in the form of cryptocurrency and the duplicated portion of its conversion to dollars.
