Vitalik suggested that Farcaster borrow the technology from zupoll to emulate the X platform's method of hiding user "like" information
ChainCatcher news, engineers on the social media platform X have stated that the platform is making likes private. Public likes can encourage undesirable behavior. For example, many people are reluctant to like content that may be "sharp" due to fear of retaliation from pranksters or to protect their public image. Soon, users will be able to like posts without worrying about who will see it. Additionally, it's worth noting that the more posts a user likes, the better the recommendation algorithm will become for them.
In response, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin commented, "This is a great decision. Favoring deception is a big problem in society, and we need to see people's honest opinions. If Farcaster could also follow suit and implement ZK likes, that would be really cool. Perhaps they could borrow technology from zupoll."
