Matrixport: ETH sets the record for the largest single-day volatility ever
ChainCatcher news, Matrixport posted on platform X that ETH has just set the largest single-day volatility record in history, possibly due to the news on May 20 regarding the SEC potentially approving an ETH ETF. The previous largest volatility for ETH was concentrated in May 2021, when DeFi trading volume was nearing its peak and ETH staking was in high demand. The two significant fluctuations so far in 2024 have been primarily driven by policy (related to the SEC and FOMC meetings).
