Jupiter Asset Management: The Federal Reserve may follow the European Central Bank in cutting interest rates
ChainCatcher news, Harry Richards, Fixed Income Investment Manager at Jupiter Asset Management, stated in a report that as the U.S. labor market accelerates its softening, consumer weakness becomes more apparent, and housing inflation further recedes, the Federal Reserve may follow the European Central Bank and cut interest rates in the coming quarters. He said, "If the Federal Reserve keeps rates at a high level for too long while other developed country central banks ease monetary policy, it could have serious consequences."
