Celestia: The data proof bridge Blobstream is now live on the Ethereum mainnet

ChainCatcher news, the modular blockchain network Celestia announced on social media that Blobstream has launched on the Ethereum mainnet. Developed by Succinct Labs, Blobstream streams the commitment of Celestia's data root to on-chain Ethereum light clients, providing permissionless high-throughput data availability (DA) for Ethereum Layer 2 (L2), ensuring security through cryptoeconomic guarantees rather than reputation or hidden trust assumptions. Blobstream is also available on celenium.io, allowing anyone to track the on-chain commitments of Celestia's data root.

It is reported that Blobstream was previously known as the Quantum Gravity Bridge (QGB), serving as a bridge between Celestia and Ethereum (or its EVM L1 chain) to facilitate the transfer of data and assets between the two networks.
