ChainCatcher news, according to Coin Edition, Cardano is preparing to hand over control of its $681.9 million treasury to the community. Its upcoming "Chang" hard fork will fully decentralize Cardano, and the ADA holder community will take over the governance of the network.

Crypto asset tracker TapTools shared a screenshot of data on X showing that Cardano's treasury holds native ADA tokens worth $681.9 million. Unlike most blockchain protocols, Cardano's treasury consists solely of ADA tokens, rather than various stablecoins or other digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
