ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, Curve Finance (CRV) founder Michael Egorov explained regarding the recent UwU Lend hack that the incident did not exploit Curve Finance itself, clarifying that: "This is not a Curve vulnerability; it is an exploitation of a separate project (UwU Lend)." He explained that the hacker deposited CRV taken from UwU into Curve's LlamaLend platform and then disappeared with the funds, leaving his debt in the system.

Egorov emphasized measures to prevent future exploitations, suggesting that UwU Lend re-verify all contracts and collaborate with reputable security auditors in hopes of recovering losses.
