Metaplanet plans to issue 1 billion yen in bonds to increase its Bitcoin holdings
ChainCatcher News, Japanese listed company Metaplanet announced that its board has approved the use of 1 billion yen (approximately 6.26 million USD) to increase its holdings in Bitcoin. The funds will come from the proceeds of the company's second issuance of ordinary bonds (secured).
The official announcement shows that these bonds have an annual interest rate of 0.5%, will be paid on June 26, 2024, and will mature on June 25, 2025.
