Bloomberg: Genesis Digital Assets is considering an IPO in the United States
ChainCatcher news, citing sources from Bloomberg, reports that Bitcoin mining company Genesis Digital Assets is considering an initial public offering (IPO) in the United States and is currently working with advisors on potential listing plans. Genesis Digital Assets plans to initiate a round of Pre-IPO financing, which could start in the coming weeks.
Genesis Digital Assets traces back to one of the earliest cryptocurrency mining companies. Before the FTX collapse, the company had received over $1 billion in investments from Alameda Research's venture capital arm. Genesis Digital Assets has 20 data centers in North America, Europe, Central Asia, and South America, with a total power capacity of over 500 megawatts. The company was valued at $5.5 billion in a funding round in April 2022.
