French financial institution SG Forge has obtained stablecoin issuance qualification under the MiCA legislation

ChainCatcher news, Societe Generale -- Forge, a subsidiary of Société Générale, announced that it has obtained the qualification for stablecoin issuance, and its EURCV stablecoin has complied with the MiCA regulations that came into effect on June 30. SG Forge was registered as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) in September 2022, giving it legal status in digital asset custody, trading between fiat currency and digital assets, and exchange services between digital assets.

In addition, SG Forge has updated its smart contracts, allowing the transfer of the EUR CoinVertible (EURCV) stablecoin to no longer be limited to whitelisted addresses.
