Data: Last year, Africa's share of the total global blockchain venture capital fell to 1.3%
ChainCatcher news, according to News.bitcoin, the CV VC report shows that by the end of 2023, Africa's share of global blockchain venture capital deals (1,306 deals) has increased from 1.2% to 1.3%.
However, Africa's share of the total blockchain venture capital amount ($10.66 billion) has decreased from 1.6% in 2022 to 1.3%. The report indicates that Africa only secured $135.4 million from 17 blockchain deals, with the number of deals decreasing by 45% and funding decreasing by 72% compared to the previous year.
