Franklin Templeton Files S-1 Application for New Crypto Index ETF

ChainCatcher news reports that, according to a document dated August 16, Franklin Templeton has submitted an S-1 application for a new cryptocurrency index ETF, aiming to become a one-stop cryptocurrency portfolio. The Franklin Cryptocurrency Index ETF will track the performance of the CF Institutional Digital Asset Index, which currently includes only Bitcoin and Ethereum.

The document states that the fund will seek to achieve its investment objective by investing in digital assets, with weights that are roughly similar to those represented by the underlying index, and that the ETF may hold other types of cryptocurrencies in the future.
