According to the TON Foundation, the dog in a hoodie (also known as Resistance Dog) was originally hand-drawn and named by Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram and TON, in 2018. Since then, REDO has been the (un)official mascot of Telegram's "resistance" against censorship.
