An overview of the five major mainstream ecological task platforms, with TON, Solana, and ETH ecosystems each having their own strengths
Author: Wenser, Odaily Planet Daily
The growth of the Web3 industry has always been a focal point of market attention, and various task platforms with different characteristics play varying roles in the data growth of industry projects. As two of the fastest-growing ecosystems this year, the TON and Solana networks have also birthed numerous task platforms. Compared to the task platforms in the previous ETH ecosystem, the market has now moved past the stage of "blindly boosting numbers" and has begun to enter the "commercial value expansion" stage.
Odaily Planet Daily will briefly review the representative task platforms of various ecosystems in this article and provide a brief analysis of their business models for readers' reference.
TON Ecosystem Task Platforms
Despite recently experiencing a drop of over 50% in TVL due to the news of the Telegram founder's arrest, the TON ecosystem, backed by Telegram—a giant social network platform with nearly 1 billion monthly active users—remains one of the blockchain networks with a massive user base and new market potential. This ecosystem has attracted many projects and task platform initiatives. Below are introductions to two representative platforms.
TON Society
Official Account: @ton_society
Official Website: https://society.ton.org
Introduction: On August 22, according to official news, the community TON Society, composed of developers and contributors building the TON ecosystem, announced it would operate as an independent entity. This strategic shift will enhance community participation, increase transparency, and facilitate access to TON community operations and assets. As an independent entity, TON Society will focus on three core goals: 1) Cultivating TON ecosystem activity initiators; 2) Expanding awareness of the TON ecosystem; 3) Democratizing community assets.
Previously, TON Society also collaborated with the TON Foundation to launch the Open League Summer hackathon with a total prize pool of $2 million and initiated the TON Nest program to assist early developers.
In the development of the TON ecosystem, TON Society plays a crucial role and has now established cohesive localized communities around the world. Additionally, the platform has created a dedicated activity page to facilitate project task releases and incentivize active users in the TON ecosystem.

BountyBay
Official Account: @0xBountyBay
Official Channel: https://t.me/bountybayofficial
Introduction: Officially described as "a Web3 social shopping platform based on the TON ecosystem, supported by Ton Grant & HashKey Accelerator." Additionally, information released on its official channel indicates that BountyBay has also received support from TON Ventures and is one of its early investment projects.
Moreover, according to its official introduction, users can earn BBY tokens by inviting friends.

Solana Ecosystem Task Platforms
When it comes to the Solana ecosystem, its united user community, cohesive developer team, and highly active founding team are often praised. Among them, Superteam is one of the most active communities that gathers many project founders and developers. Additionally, this community has developed a separate task platform for developers, project parties, and ordinary users in the Solana ecosystem to publish tasks and receive rewards for bounty tasks.
Superteam Earn
Official Account: @SuperteamEarn
Official Website: https://earn.superteam.fun/
Introduction: Unlike other task platforms that focus more on project growth, Superteam Earn is more akin to a "crowdsourcing platform" like the domestic ZhuBaJie. As mentioned in its official account introduction—"Making Work To Earn cool again · Bounties and projects from top crypto companies on Solana." The website includes various categories of bounty tasks such as content, design, and development, with reward amounts ranging from hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars, all of which are highly suitable "professional tasks" for "Web3 practitioners," rather than mere "data growth"—for example, linking social media accounts or following certain project official accounts.

ETH Ecosystem Task Platforms
As the most active developer ecosystem at present, Ethereum remains the first choice for most users, projects, and liquidity. Therefore, the number of task platforms in the ETH ecosystem is significantly higher than in other ecosystems, and we have also selected a few representative task platforms for a brief introduction. It is important to note that the following two platforms do not solely serve the Ethereum ecosystem and are provided for reference.
Galxe
Official Account: @Galxe
Official Website: https://www.galxe.com/
Introduction: As an established task platform, Galxe has recently been trying to innovate and make new attempts: On August 15, Galxe officially announced the launch of its ultimate membership service, Galxe+, where subscribers will enjoy a series of exclusive benefits, including membership to the Web3 AI tool Alva, priority access to the new Quest feature, smart savings monthly points, free GalxePassport minting, and discounts on Galxe Score minting. Galxe+ offers three tiers: Pro, Premium, and Unlimited, providing different combinations of benefits to enhance users' experience in the Galxe ecosystem.
It must be said that in an environment where new users are increasingly scarce, Galxe is also seeking new business models to achieve "self-sustainability." However, given the current market conditions, whether this move can bring new profit models and cash flow to the platform remains a big question mark. After all, for most industry users who advocate "airdrop hunting" and "free riding," having to pay for a membership to complete tasks, especially when the point rewards are not clearly defined, may feel somewhat like a loss.

Layer 3
Official Account: @layer3xyz
Official Website: https://layer3.xyz/zh/
Introduction: As mentioned in its official account introduction, "a future-oriented attention tokenization (platform)," Layer 3 has always positioned itself as a "token distribution protocol." Earlier this year, it completed a $15 million Series A funding round, led by ParaFi and Greenfield Capital, with participation from Electric Capital, Immutable, Lattice, Tioga, LeadBlock, Amber, and others, and successfully launched its token L3 and conducted an airdrop at the end of July.
It is understood that projects built on Layer 3 can programmatically route tokens to the right users at the right time based on various criteria (such as time triggers, asset ownership, on-chain activities, credentials, social graphs, and task participation). The official website indicates that the platform has over 1.1 million active users and an ecosystem value exceeding $100 billion.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that Layer 3's official website includes a Chinese page, providing a relatively user-friendly experience.

Conclusion: Task Platforms Have Passed the Wild Growth Phase, Next Steps Require Establishing Stable Business Models
Looking back, established task platforms like RabbitHole have gradually faded into obscurity due to a lack of token issuance; QuestN (formerly Quest 3) has also faced limitations in development due to its previous focus on "data growth," with the founding team's focus shifting to the new AI project GM Network. Others, like TaskOn, remain highly active in the market, but compared to the past, their activity levels have significantly declined.
After experiencing the previous "market data growth frenzy" driven by "collusion between project parties and users," Web3 task platforms have gradually moved past the initial wild growth phase and entered the "business model exploration phase"—on one hand, this tests the quality of active users on the platform; on the other hand, it depends on the quality of the projects posting tasks on the platform. Task platforms can charge value-added fees to C-end users and service fees to B-end projects, but creating a stable profit model ultimately depends on whether the needs of both C-end and B-end parties are met.
Perhaps the next step for task platforms is to consider whether they should provide better exposure resources for quality projects through rankings, project return-sharing mechanisms, etc., and recommend projects that offer better cost-effectiveness or higher return rates to real users, thereby achieving their own value presentation.
