ChainCatcher news, according to Whale Alert monitoring, at 17:39:23 Beijing time, an address containing 5,300,000 USDT has just been frozen.

It is reported that the power to freeze USDT lies with Tether. As the issuer of USDT, Tether has the authority to freeze USDT addresses, either freezing the entire USDT address or just the USDT balance within that address, without affecting other crypto assets in the address itself. Typically, Tether decides whether to freeze a USDT address based on considerations such as legal compliance and anti-money laundering.
