Oasys will upgrade to version v1.5.0 in September, reducing the block time from 15 seconds to 6 seconds

ChainCatcher news, the blockchain gaming platform Oasys announced a major upgrade to its Layer 1 (Hub Layer) in September. This v1.5.0 version update will reduce the block time from 15 seconds to 6 seconds, aiming to enhance network performance and user experience to accommodate the growing activity on the Verse Layer.

Oasys stated that shortening the block time will double the processing capacity of the Hub Layer per unit of time, helping to support the increasing number of users, games, and applications. However, faster block generation may lead to increased operational costs for validators.
