Former Apple design director is collaborating with OpenAI to develop a new device
ChainCatcher news, according to foreign media reports, there were rumors in April this year that OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, in collaboration with former Apple design chief Jony Ive, is jointly designing AI hardware aimed at individuals and is currently seeking external investment. Ive himself confirmed this on September 21.
The report mentioned that by the end of this year, the new company could raise $1 billion in funding. The project currently has only 10 employees, including two key figures who developed the iPhone alongside Ive. As for what the product itself is, there were rumors last year that it was inspired by touchscreen technology and the original iPhone, but this information has not yet been confirmed.
