ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, as of September 21, 2024, the seven-day moving average of Ethereum transaction fees reached $3.52, more than tripling from $0.85 on September 1. At the same time, the number of active accounts on the network has dropped to a yearly low of about 385,000, a decrease of 11% from the beginning of the month, marking the lowest point since December 1, 2023.

The rise in transaction fees has driven a significant increase in the ETH burn rate. On September 21, the daily burn amount of ETH reached 1,360, an increase of 1,600% from 80.27 on September 1. Uniswap and its V2 version have become the most gas-consuming smart contracts in the past 30 days.
