ChainCatcher news, The DeFi Report founder Michael Nadeau posted on the X platform that last year Uniswap generated nearly $1.3 billion in trading and settlement fees across Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Optimism.

However, these fees were not earned by the protocols and token holders; 100% flowed to liquidity providers, Ethereum validators, MEV bots, and L2 sequencers.

But with the launch of Unichain later this year, all of this will change.
