2024-10-18 20:52:54

ChainCatcher message, Greeks.live researcher Adam posted on social media:

  • 11,000 options are expiring, Put Call Ratio is 0.78, maximum pain point is $64,000, notional value is $1.26 billion;
  • 138,000 Ethereum options are expiring, Put Call Ratio is 0.61, maximum pain point is $2,500, notional value is $360 million.

Bitcoin has rebounded significantly this week, while Ethereum's rebound has been relatively weak. This week, the open interest for Ethereum options is less than 30% of Bitcoin's, and from the implied volatility perspective, the IV for ETH at-the-money options for about a month is only 4% higher than that of BTC, and it continues to decline.
