Asset management institutions: The European Central Bank is very likely to cut interest rates by 25 basis points next week
ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, Ulrich Kasten, an economist at the German asset management company DWS, stated in a report that the European Central Bank may lower the deposit rate by 25 basis points to 3.00% next Thursday, rather than opting for a larger cut of 50 basis points. The economic outlook for the Eurozone has deteriorated, and the improvement in the inflation outlook has exceeded expectations, but this is still not enough for the central bank to make a significant rate cut.
LSEG data shows that the money market currently believes there is an 87% chance of a 25 basis point rate cut by the European Central Bank and a 13% chance of a 50 basis point cut.
